For safety reasons the gates will have to remain closed and the site will stay inaccessible to the public during restoration.:

• Hedge and tree works to be completed before 1 March 2026 (start of nesting season).

• A tractor and hedge trimmer to cut back the Church Lane hedge, and possibly others, between now and the end of January 2026. We will ensure that all tree work is completed by the end of January..

• We will organise a village-wide tidy-up day in February 2026. Ahead of this, we will explore removing the internal hedge running alongside the hard-standing car park.

Once ground levels between the Old School Field and existing Playing Field are resolved, the gates on Church Lane will be replaced with folding bollards, and pedestrian access opened to link Church Lane and King’s Close with the Playing Field.
